Aston Martin Storage Matters
How an Aston Martin is stored between drives affects its condition more than how it is driven.
A car left for months on a discharged battery, with old fluid and tires holding whatever pressure they held in autumn, arrives in spring needing more than a wash. Brake rotors develop surface corrosion and caliper slides seize. Fuel degrades. Rubber seals harden. Moisture accumulates in the exhaust and in the oil.
None of it is dramatic and all of it is cumulative.
A maintainer keeps the battery healthy without cooking it. Fresh fluid before a layup is better than fresh fluid after. Correct tire pressure and, where possible, moving the car occasionally prevents flat spotting. A dry space matters more than a heated one.
Coming out of storage, an Aston Martin deserves a proper look before a long drive rather than after. Brakes, fluid condition, tire age and pressures, battery and charging health, and a diagnostic scan for anything that logged itself while nobody was watching.
